We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Manager with the Facility Services Department. This position will be responsible for managing housekeeping staff and custodial contract to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of The Footprint Center. The position will require proactive work to ensure facility preparedness and efficiency. This role will interact with our teams, guests, outside vendors, and other departments to ensure building cleanliness. Role will perform custodial duties as needed, which include but are not limited to sweeping and mopping floors; cleaning and maintaining washrooms, Suns and Mercury locker rooms, Suns and Mercury courts, offices, and guest areas; cleaning glass surfaces; collecting/emptying garbage receptacles.

What Will You Do:

  • Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures to ensure sanitary conditions
  • Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate housekeeping needs
  • Interact with internal departments to maintain day-to-day building cleanliness
  • Work with external custodial vendor to ensure completion of scope of work
  • Maintain inventory as required through procurement (i.e., paper, materials, etc.)
  • Check assigned housekeeping areas and equipment regularly for repairs and maintenance
  • Develop and provide detailed housekeeping reports to Director of Event Operations
  • Work closely with vendors on purchases and maintenance programs

What We Need From Our Manager:

  • Experience and knowledge in operation with current OSHA standards
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and coordinate multiple projects
  • Highly organized and skilled with time management
  • Knowledge with basic computer skills
  • Ability to communicate via work radio and phone

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • 2- 3 years of leadership experience
  • Ability to manage 10 staff members, interviewing skills.

Experience/ Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma required,
  • 5 or more years of related experience.
  • Problem solves under pressure, proactive,

  • Must be able to carry on a conversation both on the phone and in-person
