Qualifications:

Must have an outgoing and friendly personality

Must be able to work a flexible schedule

Must be honest and work well with others

Stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment

Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far

Must be able to climb up and down stairs if needed

Must speak in a clear, understandable voice and hear at a basic level, and understand English

Must be able to bend, stretch arms overhead and lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the cleanliness and overall appearance of the guest rooms and surrounding corridors

Courteously and pleasantly respond to the guest’s needs and requests in order to make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible

Adhere to all hotel/franchise and Ideal Hospitality standards

Responsible for reporting to the maintenance department any deficiency in any room or public area, and all out of order equipment

Ability to make beds neatly with fresh linens

Ability to pick up trash from floor, remove and empty trash from waste cans, clean mirrors and shelves, wipes door frames and furniture with damp cloth, dust all light fixtures, window sills, the baseboards, and arranges furniture properly

Vacuum each room

Responsible for the hallway in front of rooms including vacuuming this area

Ability to cleans bathrooms, scrub basin, bathtubs and showers, toilets, and tile floors with damp rag and detergent

Disinfect all surfaces in guest room and bathroom

Ability to maintain a clean and attractive work area, housekeeping cart, uniform, and person

Reports to the Executive Housekeeper all rooms vacated and clean, rooms occupied and clean, or any other discrepancies, or any unusual conditions of furniture or room repairs needed

Should have knowledge of fire alarm and evacuation procedures

Must be responsible for security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets

All duties must be carried out in a safe manner

Employee must treat everyone with dignity and respect

Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc

Must perform any/all other required duties as requested by the Executive Housekeeper/Supervisor and General Manager to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.50 per hour
