Job description:
- Ensure the buildings provide a welcoming environment
- Ensure day to day standard of cleanliness, tidiness, and suitability for occupancy of all rooms
- Reports any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices to management
- Performs routine daily cleaning of assigned rooms; changed bed linens; replaces towels; cleans bathrooms thoroughly; vacuums, mops and dusts daily; cleans kitchen areas
- Maintains integrity when cleaning patient's rooms
- Ensures that all garbage from waste baskets and trash are removed and disposed of properly
- Keep room supplied with paper towels, toilet paper and soap
- Inspect all areas for maintenance issues and report to Maintenance Supervisor
- Utilize custodial supplies according to safety protocols
Qualifications and Requirements:
- At least one year of housekeeping experience
- Maintains CPR certification, required
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours
Abilities/ Competencies:
- Knowledge of principles and practices of the discipline
- Adheres to: Healthcare Code of Ethics
- Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards
- Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding:
