Responsibilities:

  • Handle in-house L1/L2 in coordination with onsite desktop support administrator.
  • Provides routine hardware support for in-house computers, telephone systems, and other communication IT equipment
  • Manages day-to-day project activities
  • Manages project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
  • Develops, maintains, and manages project plans and associated communications
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential issues, and devises contingency and mitigation. Tracks project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develops and prepares project status reports and corresponding presentations, analyzes their results, troubleshoots problem areas, and makes corresponding recommendations
  • Follows up with team members to ensure timely completion of deliverables. (Important) Keeps pace with emerging project management trends and best practices
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned

Technical Experience:

  • Prepare and process documentation for the resolution of IT incidents
  • Work with 3rd party resources
  • Install and configure PCs, servers, printers, network/ telecom equipment
  • Manage onsite telecom cabling and cabling terminations
  • Ability to determine whether a particular problem is caused by hardware, operating systems, software, application programs, or network failures

Required Technical Proficiencies:

  • Working knowledge of hospitality infrastructure technology
  • Working knowledge of all hardware, hardware build, configuration, compatibility, upgrades, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of server and desktop-based systems, including security methodologies
  • Working knowledge of troubleshooting capabilities of the operating systems and OS modifications
  • Working knowledge of computer security best practices
  • Working knowledge of networking/distributed computing environment concepts
  • Overall knowledge of the computing environment at large, e.g., typical uses and user populations of operating systems, communications protocols, hardware platforms
  • Experience with Hospitality Systems, Including Opera, Micros, Room Keys, HSIA, digital signage, etc.
  • Experience with the following manufacturers networking equipment, including HP, Cisco, SonicWALL, Ruckus
  • Experience with WAN/LAN Network Engineering and Operations

Requirements:

  • Read, write, speak and understand English fluently
  • Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on verbal and written communication and the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to use standard computing tools: Word processor, spreadsheet, browser, email, and file compression software
  • Ability to work flexible days/hours - some on-call duty based on business demands

Advanced certifications Preferred:

  • Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
