The Hospice Services Director is a high-level Leader who manages the clinical services provided by University of Vermont Health Network McClure Miller Respite House along with services provided by the community hospice team across other settings (home, SNF, ALF, UVMMC). The Director is responsible for maintaining program integrity and excellence, while maintaining compliance with all state and local regulations. The Director serves as the clinical liaison to the President of UVM Home Health & Hospice. The director will participate as the clinical lead member of the departmental leadership team in developing and modifying nursing services and operating systems in accordance with organizational goals and resources, as well as community needs and professional standards. Appropriate clinical practice knowledge, strategic management experience and excellent communication/relationship building skills are critical.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, with Master's degree or commensurate experience desired. Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care preferred.
Experience:
8 or more years of relevant clinical and management experience in hospice, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
License Requirements:
Current Vermont RN License or other relevant license based on professional discipline.
