About This Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Position

HopeHealth is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for its affiliate HopeHealth Visiting Nurse.

This position is headquartered in Lincoln, RI.

This is a full-time 40-hours per week position that is eligible for benefits.

This team has opportunities in the following geographical areas:

  • East/West Greenwich
  • North/South Kingston
  • Exeter
  • Jamestown
  • Portsmouth
  • Middletown
  • Tiverton
  • Little Compton


What will you do?

  • Provide treatment to patients according to goals developed by the Occupational Therapist in the plan of care.
  • Report any change in patient’s status to your ROTR, clinical manager, and doctor as needed.
  • Help patients to live independently or as independent as possible by teaching them ways to perform their daily tasks and routines of life in the patient's homes. The goals for each patient will vary depending on the condition of the patient.
  • Documents patient care and data accurately, thoroughly and by the end of the scheduled workday.
  • Secures positive clinical and quality outcomes according to state and national benchmarks.
  • Case management and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in oncall, weekend, and holiday rotations as needed.
  • Facilitate and participate in weekly case conferences.


What are the qualifications for this job?

  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
  • Currently licensed to practice as a registered occupational therapy assistant in Rhode Island and/or Massachusetts – dually licensed preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in occupational therapy practice.
  • Home care experience preferred.
  • Current/valid driver's license and automobile.
  • Experience in use of Electronic Medical Record preferred
