The One Health Group is seeking a motivated Home Health Occupational Therapist (OT) to cover the West Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Culver City, Beverly Hills, and other surrounding areas providing direct patient care. Working with the physician to manage care plans, as well as instruct patients and their families in proper treatment, helping individuals take steps to improve or maintain health. As an OT you will be responsible for following a physician established plan of care under the direction of our Director and Clinical Supervisor. The One Health Group believes that qualified therapist are advocates and health educators for patients, families, and communities.

Position Summary:

As an Occupational Therapist you will be responsible for the overall management, including direct patient care, of your assigned patients. The Occupational Therapist evaluates and provides therapeutic services specific to the patient's unique population, experiencing disorders involving pain, immobility, and loss of function. Care is directed at rehabilitation to maximum potential as well as promotion of independence and adaptation to disability. The Occupational Therapist performs skilled services in an interdisciplinary environment with physical therapists, speech pathologists, nurses, physicians, and other health care providers. You will plan, organize, and provide all patient care services to deliver the highest quality home-based health care. Your responsibilities will include coordination of the interdisciplinary team that carries out the plan of care and insuring effective management of visit utilization and expenses. Education/License/Certification:
Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum with a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral degree with certification in Occupational Therapy or foreign-trained equivalent required. Current license to practice as a occupational therapist in California required. Current CPR. Current valid California Driver’s license required.
Qualifications:
Must have at least one year experience in occupational therapy. Clinically skilled to detect early warning signs of medical complications including assessments of skin integrity and mentation. Ability to differentiate emergent versus non emergent patient care status. Ability to look at patient holistically, not just body part or functional ability. Competency to remove surgical staples/sutures in the home. Effective written and oral communication skills (in English). Good interpersonal skills. Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
