HOLIDAY HELP - Dog Care Attendant Job at Westchester K-9
We are looking for part time or full time dedicated, loyal and responsible dog caretakers who LOVE dogs and want to help over the Holidays! We are in need of help for Thanksgiving week, as well as mid December through the New Year.
The ideal candidate will be confident around a large group of dogs and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Must have common sense and the ability to follow a detailed schedule. Time management skills and punctuality are also necessary for the position. Please be drama free, and know how to communicate properly to peers and management. Pay is based on experience level.
Dog Caretaker responsibilities include:
- Taking dogs outside for bathroom and play time
- Cleaning up after them inside and outside
- Preparing food, feeding dogs and providing water
- Brushing and bathing dogs
- Interacting with clients
- Assisting trainer and following directions for proper reinforcement of manners and obedience.
- Cleaning kennels, washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, snow shoveling, laundry and general cleaning
- MUST have reliable transportation
- Punctual, reliable and able to work weekends and holidays
- A valid driver’s license and a clean record for picking up and delivering dogs (in company vehicle), if needed.
- Great customer service skills
- Must live close to the Carmel/Mahopac area
