CA Carey Corporation is a Heavy Civil general contractor established in 1978, specializing in bridges, concrete, and roads.

This Superintendent Position is for Public Works projects in King and Snohomish counties. Our Superintendents are critical to the success of the company and must provide management of not only the crew, but subcontractors and other company personnel as well. They ensure that above quality standards are met while completing projects on schedule and within budget. Our superintendents are in charge of overseeing the job as a whole and working with all parties to successfully complete their assigned project.

Must have construction and leadership experience. Must be able to pass a physical and a drug test.

Responsibilities:

- Show exceptional leadership skills

- Read/interpret plans, specifications, and drawings

- Organize, direct, and supervise employees and subcontractors on project

- Communicate with Project Manager and Foreman

- Develop and maintain construction schedule

- Order product

- Cooperate and communicate with the public agency of the project, including any inspectors or other parties involved

- Verify project quantities and approve invoices

- Attend project meetings

- Operate equipment

- Promote safety on all projects, and rectify job site hazards

- Create and maintain organization and cleanliness within the job site, including job office

- Ensure the project is completed on time and on budget

Required Experience:

- 5+ years superintendent experience in the construction industry

- 5+ years leadership experience

- 5+ years road/bridge experience

- 3+ years heavy civil construction experience

- 3+ years underground and dirt experience

- Well developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities

- Knowledge of and experience in construction disciplines, scheduling, safety regulations, and cost control

- Previous experience in managing large projects

- Ability to read and understand drawings, plans, and specs, and develop a schedule with that information

- Commitment to quality and safety, and to make necessary changes to meet and exceed quality and safety expectations

- Ability to communicate and work with all subcontractors on project

- Ability to lead and communicate with project Foreman

Preferred but not Required Experience:

- CDL

- Public Works Experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
