Responsibilities:

Greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow in the office
Take patient histories and vital signs, and assist with exams and treatments
Prepare and administer medications as directed by a healthcare provider
Explain procedures and treatments to patients, and answer questions
Prepare and maintain medical records and documents
Order and maintain office and medical supplies
Assist with insurance and billing procedures
Clean and maintain examination rooms and equipment
Perform basic laboratory procedures and interpret test results
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or completion of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer skills
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow instructions, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
