Schedule: 8a-5p; M-F


Examples of Work

This position is responsible for processing all documents related to applications for licenses, and maintaining these associated records of license issuance or denial for professions and occupations.

The successful candidate will provide thorough reviews of licensing documents and financial transactions, and ensure adherence to statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to the Licensure Unit.

This position supports the Chiropractic, Athletic Trainer, Hearing Instrument Specialist, Audiologist, and Speech-Language Pathologist licensing programs, including preparing correspondence, handling payments, managing travel arrangements, and performing all tasks related to examination processes and activities.


Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.

PREFER: Within the last 2-3 years-
  • The ability to review applications/documents in accordance with statutes/regulations/guidelines.
  • Computer experience including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Access or other similar software.
  • Experience in handling phone calls and in-person customer service related to status of applications and/or required documentation.
  • Experience in organizing, tracking, updating, and timely filing/retrieval of electronic and manual records/files.
  • Experience in working with confidential documents and HIPAA compliance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The successful candidate will be customer focused, detail oriented, have a high personal standard of integrity, and share in the Department's mission.

Strong time management, problem solving, and communication skills are essential for this position.

Must have effective communication skills and have the ability to accurately explain state statutes and regulations and application requirements to both internal and external customers.

Must be able to read legal documents and understand statutes and regulations. Must demonstrate ability to seek direction as needed.
