Health Info Tech Per Diem Days Position Summary:

Preps discharged IP/SDS/OP records for scanning into HPF using established criteria and guidelines with 95% accuracy rate, meeting established productivity standards. Scans prepped records into HPF with 95% accuracy rate, meeting established productivity standards.

Indexes scanned records into HPF with 95% accuracy rate, meeting established productivity standards. Analyzes discharged records in HPF to meet state and federal regulatory guidelines. Works defined Analysis HPF queues ( decline deficiency, dictation analysis, cold signature exception, deficiency errors, unlinked deficiency) as needed. Retrieves discharged records from the units as needed. Processes discharged records as needed. Works defined analysis HPF queues (decline deficiency, dictation analysis, cold signature exception, deficiency errors, unlinked deficiency) as needed. Works with all new physicians with HPF to get them set up and trained. Assists physicians with HPF on an as needed basis. Assists hospital staff with HPF on an as needed basis. Works with IS and Perot to identify and resolve HPF issues. Has a working knowledge of PBAR, HPF, RRA and all other HIS software applications. Answers phones with courtesy by the 3rd ring and follows up on the request 100% of the time. Other general HIS duties as so designated by HIS Management.

Previous experience in Health Information Services in an acute care facility.

Excellent computer and customer service skills preferred.

Pay Range: $18.17 - $27.25
