As a Countryside Gymnastics Team Coach you will be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating class environment for children while displaying a positive, dynamic attitude that encourages children’s self esteem.
Position Qualifications:
  • At least 17 years of age
  • Must have experience in gymnastics and spotting of skills needed for the level you are going to coach.
  • Professional Rescue within the first year.
  • Safety Certification within the first year.
  • Xcel Gold level coach preferred
HOURS AND DAYS: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 6-8:30 pm, year round

Your Responsibilities:
  • Learn and teach the USAG Gymnastics routines.
  • Coach a group of 8-10 gymnasts.
  • Attend coaches meetings (approximately 3-4x per year)
  • Attend meets and use proper etiquette at meets according to the gymnastic YMCA code of conduct.
  • Develop lesson plans for your group rotations; assist the head coach with conditioning and practices.
  • Attend all trainings set forth by the Ralph J. Stolle Countryside YMCA and Gymnastics Director.
  • Communicate and interact effectively with parents and staff.
  • Keep accurate attendance records.
  • Adhere to Safety regulations and report and safety issues to Buildings and Grounds or Risk Management
Rate of Pay: $11.00 per hour, may increase based upon experience. All part-time staff working a minimum of 16 hours per quarter will receive a complimentary individual membership to the Countryside YMCA!
