The Job

A Guest Services Agent is the first point of contact with our guests and represents our image to the public. They are our ambassadors of adventure, entertainment, magic, and excitement, providing a memorable representation of the experiences to be had at Anakeesta.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide guest service that exceeds expectations
  • Must be knowledgeable of all activities, able to assist guests in selecting the most appropriate activities taking into consideration their family size, ages, and length of stay
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Conduct smooth transactions through Anakeesta’s POS (Point of Sale) systems
  • General admission tickets, zip-line tickets, vouchers, online admission ticket purchases, online zipline adventure purchases, Annual Passes, special events, etc.
  • Maintains perfect cash control, while dealing with high guest volume and distracting conditions
  • Scanning of park entrance tickets including online purchases
  • Ability to provide low level resolution regarding guest issues and escalate to the Guest Services Supervisor or Guest Services Manager, when appropriate
  • Respond to guest inquiries and provide directions to specific areas, information regarding special events, operating hours, etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness of working area as well as the surrounding Parkway; this includes picking up debris left by guests (empty cups, napkins, brochures, etc.) and mother nature (sticks, leaves, branches, etc.)
  • Ensure that all supplies are well-stocked at the beginning and end of day
  • When inventory gets low, inform supervisor of needs
  • Communicate with other team members to ensure up-to-date information is always provided to guests
  • Communicate with supervisors and managers regularly to maintain up to date information regarding park operations relevant to roles and responsibilities
  • Maintain a well-groomed and neat appearance while present at Anakeesta
  • Always arrive to work, in your department’s uniform, including your name badge
  • Ensures Brochure racks are stocked with Anakeesta Brochures, and communicates to Guest Services Supervisor when more are needed
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Need

  • Relevant work experience in sales or guest services
  • Strong computer skills preferred
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Professional, friendly, and a positive-solution oriented attitude required
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and guests both written and verbally
  • Ability to keep a calm, level thought process in stressful situations
  • Serious minded when it comes to safety

Work Conditions and Schedule Requirements

  • Able to lift 15lbs.
  • Ability to push, pull, grasp, lift, kneel stoop, climb, balance, crouch, crawl and stand for long periods of time
  • Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions including but not limited to rain, heat, snow, extreme cold and wind without protection
  • Day, night, weekend, and holiday availability is required, as well as flexibility with work schedule.
  • During peak business seasons, the schedule may require a work period over 40 hours per week, including nights
  • Sitting at a desk and computer workstations or standing for up to 8 hours a day is to be expected
