Groundskeeper, Fort Lyon Job at Colorado Coalition for the Homeless
The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.
The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks a Groundskeeper, Fort Lyon to perform routine and extensive groundskeeping and building maintenance duties at the Fort Lyon facility. This position is located at 30999 CR 15, Las Animas, Colorado 81050 and reports to the Maintenance Manager.

4. Trims and plants grass, flowers, trees and shrubs as needed.
5. Installs and maintains irrigation systems, fire hydrants, hard water system, etc.
6. Installs rock, cement, lighting, water and furniture as needed.
7. Safely operate light and heavy equipment such as trucks, tractors, fork lifts, street sweepers, riding and push mowers, paint machines, and other maintenance equipment.
8. Ensures grounds and building maintenance equipment are operational by performing routine and preventative maintenance and cleaning.
9. Supervises Resident Work Crew members.
10. May include 24-7 on call responsibilities.
11. Maintains current and complete COVID-19 vaccination(s), as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health authorities.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
