Role

To design and produce creative materials to increase brand awareness of the Credit Union, and promote products and services in line with strategic and marketing objectives. To serve as subject matter expert to provide advanced knowledge of design software, design principles, design development standards, techniques and methodologies with ability to apply them. Work demands creative skills and a professional approach to time, costs, and deadlines. Marketing initiatives may include, but are not limited to, direct mail letters, postcards, promotion packages, brochures, posters, flyers, annual reports, signage, miscellaneous invitations, member center collateral, social media/email/website graphics, and print/digital advertisements.


Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Directs all advertising and product/service promotion communication. Develops appropriate collateral as it pertains to branding, campaigns, promotions, and sales tools. Supports creative direction from head of marketing. Anticipates and solves creative problems and production timeline issues. Stays current in marketing trends and tools.
  • Develops and implements tactics to support strategic plans for promotions/campaigns, internal and external marketing objectives, and business development objectives.
  • Works closely with the Community Relations Specialist for special events and performs planning, scheduling and implementation (as required) for proper execution of such events, including Annual Shareholder's Meeting, Riley Children's Hospital annual donation drive, and Project Spotlight charitable giving campaign.
  • Serves as creative resource and point of contact for management on design and branding standards, vendor selection and production methods.
  • Monitors assigned projects to ensure that goals and objectives are completed according to schedule.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned and independently pursues opportunities to further develop graphic design and copywriting skills (YouTube tutorials, graphic design blogs, design and software seminars, etc.).
Position Qualifications
Three to five years of experience in general marketing and business development
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising or a related field
Demonstration of excellent design and typography skills/principles and attention to design and layout detail
High proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Software, specifically Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Excellent copywriting and project management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to motivate and influence others
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced skill in exercising professionalism, composure under pressure, and flexibility
Advance skill in exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions

Standard position hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
