Golf Maintenance Job at Fripp Island Resort Inc
The primary purpose of this position is to care and maintain the golf course tee boxes, fairways, roughs and other hazards and holes. In addition to maintaining the golf course the maintenance staff operates heavy equipment and must maintain the equipment used.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain tees, fairways, roughs and other hazards and greens daily including mowing each with the appropriate equipment.
- Assist with the construction and reconstruction of the greens, tees, and fairways by grading, preparing soils and planting.
- Grade and prepare planting beds, lay sod, plant materials and seed course.
- Lay walks and paths using gravel and asphalt materials; repairs and replaces irrigation systems as needed.
- Perform daily maintenance on all equipment used according to the established maintenance schedule.
- Maintain cart paths and bunkers according to the established maintenance schedules.
- Water and fertilize courses and surrounding landscape according to established schedules.
- Mark course for cart control and move barriers; replace ropes and signs as needed.
- Operate company trucks and equipment in compliance with established safety procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
