Job Title: Golf Cart Attendant
Report To: Director of Golf
Position Summary:

The Golf Cart Attendant is tasked with providing customers with services regarding the welcome area/bag drop, cart staging, practice areas, rules and policies, event set-up, and the final farewell. Due to the nature of the position, the golf course greeter/cart attendant personnel must be pleasant at all times and provide ICONic service.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Operates the welcome area at the parking lot and the cart staging area(s) in the highest professional manner
  • Provide welcoming “first contact” with each customer or groups of customers and ensure they have an enjoyable experience
  • Assure the welcome and departure areas are staffed to accommodate incoming arrivals and outgoing members & guests
  • Assure cart staging areas are adequately stocked with fresh, stocked golf carts
  • Assure ball machine, practice areas, and practice balls are fully stocked with clean golf balls
  • Openers - Assure Members bags from Club storage have been pulled, prepared and/or loaded onto Golf Carts
  • Closers - Assure Member’s bags from Club storage have been put away
  • Promote the facility programs and events to the customers of the facility at all times
  • Check with the golf shop for any unusual or special instructions, such as cart paths only, etc.
  • Be in possession of the daily tee sheet and monitor for updates throughout the shift
  • Make sure all equipment; radio, cart, etc. are working correctly
  • Keep work area orderly, stocked, and clean at all times (including ice/water machine, practice areas – putting, chipping, pitching greens and driving range)
  • Assist in keeping the course and areas around the clubhouse clean, and call attention to the golf shop of any maintenance issues needing addressing
  • Oversee the cart cleanliness, rotation, and charging of the Golf Cart Fleet
  • Be prepared for inclement weather (rain gear, etc.), understand bad weather procedures and communicate with the golf shop during weather alerts as necessary
  • This position may perform additional duties as needed/required

Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, and crouch; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. At times, may be required to operate a motor vehicle. Schedule:Must be for all shifts including weekends and holidays.
