GIS System Administrator Job at HEP Services LLC
- Administer overall GIS system, including servers, application infrastructure, and enterprise geodatabases.
- Create data automations to support enterprise GIS platform and end-user applications utilizing FME, Python, Arcade, or other scripting tools.
- Deploy and maintain Pipeline Open Data Standard (PODS) with ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing (APR) information model.
- Work closely with the GIS Manager on developing and carrying out department initiatives.
- Work with various departments to integrate data from other systems of record to support customer requirements and advance GIS initiatives.
- Produce and maintain map services.
- Configure and support web mapping applications in ArcGIS Portal and Geocortex Essentials.
- Support in development of apps for field operations.
- Train users throughout the company on GIS products when needed, and other GIS personnel as needed.
- Investigate new GIS applications and leverage latest technologies through collaboration with IT department.
- Assist in developing system processes, standards, and documentation for the GIS department.
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college and 2 or more years of related experience.
- Proficient in ArcGIS Pro 2.x (minimum).
- Proficient in FME Workbench.
- Experience installing, configuring, and managing ArcGIS Enterprise, FME Server, and VertiGIS Studio products (including Geocortex Essentials and Geocortex Analytics).
- Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server/Management Studio, Internet Information Services (IIS).
- General or basic understanding of APIs, REST services, web requests, JSON, and XML.
- Experience with Esri’s APR and/or Utility Network information models.
- Experience with pipeline data management and linear referencing systems.
- Experience with UPDM or PODS data models.
- Experience with branch versioning.
- Experience with ArcGIS GeoEvent Server a plus.
- Experience with mobile Esri apps.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate GIS technologies in technical and nontechnical terms to customers.
- Ability work with all levels of management and employees in corporate and field offices.
- Meets established deadlines for tasks and projects.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated.
- Must be able to function as a team player and contribute to team efforts.
