Silver Mountain manages both task order IDIQ contracts as well as competitive bid and sole source projects, including 100% design, design-build, demolition, facilities repair, DOD fuels systems, and new construction. Candidates must be able to meet the standards required to obtain and hold a Secret or Higher US Government Clearance(if applicable).

Scope:
The Laborer shall perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. May assist other craft workers

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working in an outdoor environment with exposure to extreme weather and difficult terrains.
  • Lifting and carrying materials such as pipe, moving hoses, decontaminating equipment and materials, flagging, and other strenuous tasks.
  • Inspect, maintain, and operate assigned manual and power tools.
  • Operation of tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ditch digging.
  • Chain saw operation.
  • Collection of debris.
  • Truck wash with high-pressure hose operation.
  • Load/unload/place various materials.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to regularly move at least 50-lbs manually.
  • Ability to follow supervisory verbal and written instructions and designated health and safety requirements.
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions or difficult terrain.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent .
  • Must have valid drivers license.

Special Requirements:

  • Must pass pre-employment background check.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach and signal with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Working Environment:


A typical day for an excavator operator is spent sitting while operating equipment for several hours at a time in conditions that can be unpredictable; for example, working conditions may be noisy, cold, hot and dusty.
