GBS/Shared Service Strategy Manager

Job Description

  • Deliver on time, within budget and to plan.
  • Productivity/results realization, tracking and reporting as per objective.
  • Ensure that CoE processes and solutions are efficient, effective, controlled and meet business requirements.
  • Support all migration and development activities as required.
  • Be an agent for change; seeking to engage, influence and align key stakeholders to CoE priorities.
  • Be an ambassador for the Power of One culture and philosophy.
  • Work with colleagues in all markets / regions to understand as-is processes and work to optimise / standardize / automate for delivery of best solution; while identifying benefits and leading the implementation of the change.
  • Project delivery in accordance with governance process.
  • Utilize and develop insight for data driven solutions proposals.
  • Identify & implement process improvements across all markets.
  • Creation and maintenance of project documentation, tools and agreed methodologies.
  • Ensure effective stakeholder communication / change management controls for all business process changes, to ensure full engagement by all affected parties.
  • Ensure effective handover of new capabilities to business owners, including process documentation, training material and measurement systems.
  • Identify, implement and monitor KPIs of solution delivery.
  • Ensure business continuity after go-live of initiatives.
  • Planning and facilitating workshops and project team meetings.

About the role

As part of a diversified and agile team, the role of the GBS Shared Service Strategy Manager acts as a change agent whose role is to support the development and delivery of new global CoE solutions through the positive challenge of existing and established practices, identify opportunities for improvement or innovation, and lead or support, a variety of (sometimes multi-functional) workstreams within the GSBS Centres of Expertise (CoE) function. This role requires a high focus on customer experience and execution of activities to strict timelines. This role is also a partnering role across the Americas Markets and the wider Enterprise, as well as business functions such as Finance, Human Resources, Corporate and the wider GSBS CoE organizations globally. This role is part of a global function accountable for the yearly realization of customer excellence, productivity savings, service growth, commercial services and delivery of CoE Global alignment. This could include people / process / system changes/ migration activities, to enable the achievement of our vision for operational excellence in support of our Journey to Great. This is a hands-on role, providing expertise in terms of business processes and change methodology, in addition to driving and implementing improvement activities. Scope of role includes determination, design and analysis of KPI data, in order to support the development and execution of fact-based solutions and improvements and support pre-identified areas of improvement where the appropriate methodology can be employed and the initiation of approved work streams through to benefits realisation and BAU tracking. It would be expected that the role holder would be managing multiple initiatives, where appropriate. The role will require cross-functional working; including interaction with subject matter experts, line managers, and other project managers / workstream leaders, as well as interaction with more senior stakeholders such as business owners, team managers and functional VP’s / Heads. The role will require analytical thinking and planning, in order to evaluate issues, manage plans and solve problems as projects progress, with a critical focus on the needs of internal / external customers.

  • Excellent MS Office suite knowledge and experience.

Desirable:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Project management knowledge and experience (including project lifecycle models).
  • Continuous Improvement - Lean Six Sigma qualification.
  • Experience in leading others (direct or indirect).
  • Change management qualification or equivalent.
  • Broad understanding of the Electrocomponents business.
  • Strong understanding of Shared Services and CoE concepts.
  • Strong process understanding / subject matter expertise.
