About this position

We are hiring for part-time, daytime shift caregiver positions and are currently looking to fill shifts in Greater Hartford including Bloomfield, Farmington Valley, and West Hartford. We will consider your availability and preferred locations when setting your schedule. This is not a contract position. Caregivers are employees of Care at Home By JFS.

Responsibilities include:

• Personal care, bathing, incontinence care, dressing and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Engagement and socialization
• Positive personality with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Medication reminders
• Follow client care plans provided by Care at Home by JFS
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry
• Meal prep

Qualifications:

• At least two years of experience in direct care
• Proof of professional training, e.g. CNA, HHA, PCA certificate, or equivalent experience
• Experience providing direct care to people with dementia
• Driver’s license with insured and reliable automobile
• Hospice including end of life experience a plus
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Reliable
• Pass a drug test and background check (required)
• Experience with Clear Care software (preferred)

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

• Day shift

COVID-19 considerations:
Caregivers MUST be fully Vaccinated including the BOOSTER shot. Care at Home by JFS provides all the PPE necessary for work.

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

• Caregiving: 1 year (Required)
