Bertram House of Swampscott is hiring an experienced Cook. The Cook is responsible for preparing meals and performing various kitchen cleaning and storage activities. Responsible for handling all foods, storage and cleaning activities in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and complies with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures regarding food storage, cleaning and preparation.

* One year experience required

* ServeSafe certification required

* Experience planning and executing menus required

* High School diploma preferred / GED acceptable

* Ability to handle multiple priorities

* Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication

* Competent in organizational, time management skills

* Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills

* Experience in Assisted Living, senior housing, or nursing homes is strongly preferred

This is a full-time position. The normal working hours are from 10:30am to 6:30pm, Tuesday through Saturday, but may occasionally vary depending on the needs of the community.
