Often the first and last contact for our guests, the Guest Services Supervisor is a critical link to guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include supervising staff, welcoming guests, processing registration and check-out, anticipating guest needs and meeting or exceeding those needs, responding to and resolving guest inquires and complaints, coordinating with other departments to ensure guests feel well-cared for and valued. This person should be very comfortable interacting with guests and potential clients in a highly professional manner.

* Must be effective listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by team members and guests.
* Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
* Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
* Monitor all VIP and special guest requests.
* Fully comprehend and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
* Be familiar with all in-house groups.
* Ensure that all guests feel welcomed to the property and greet by name.
* Register guests and assign rooms.
* Assist Front Office Manager in ensuring that team members are following and maintaining standards.
* Ensure guest satisfaction by responding to the guest inquiries with accurate information and a positive attitude.
* Promote hotel amenities and services to guests using personal knowledge and effective selling techniques.
* Provide constant and consistent communication with other departments and supervisors/managers in order to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Answer all guest inquiries in a timely and professional nature.
* Be involved in departmental meeting, planning and execution.
* Help maintain productivity levels at or above budgeted standards.
* Assist in training and cross training of new hires and current team member on a regular basis.
* Attend meetings/training as required by management.
* Assist in coverage of front desk duties/scheduling.
* Perform other duties as required by management.
* Valet duties will also be expected.
