Penske Media Corp. (PMC), the publisher of world-renowned media brands including Rolling Stone, Billboard, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, IndieWire, Deadline Hollywood, dick clark productions, and others, is seeking talented photographers to expand its freelance team to shoot and edit events, providing real-time content to the PMC brands and our syndication partners. Assignments range from red carpets, parties, awards programming, marketing events and occasionally live music photography. The ideal candidate will have experience shooting press events. We are willing to train the right candidate without press experience, but they must be willing to shoot behind the line and roaming red carpet positions, and file images in a timely manner to meet tight deadlines.

Freelance Entertainment Photographers are expected to edit images in a timely fashion, focusing on time to market and ensuring high quality imagery and accurate metadata. They will be expected to voice tag and caption images, as well as work with editors both remotely and onsite to meet the deadlines of our brands and licensing partners. Must be able to work well under pressure, troubleshoot workflows, and be a team player. Strong knowledge base of celebrity culture and current entertainment news cycles a plus.

You will be representing PMC while onsite at events, and you will be expected to interact with PR, internal marketing teams, event producers and celebrities in a friendly and professional manner. Effective communication skills and savvy real-time problem solving are required. You will be working both independently with little direction, and under the direction of assignment editors and other content leaders on our team.

Must have up to date camera gear, including a camera with the ability to transmit photos wirelessly, and a variety of lenses. Workflows require editing in Adobe Software, Photo Mechanic and uploading to our internal DAM system and FTPs.

Working knowledge of Photoshop or Lightroom, Photo Mechanic and an FTP client like FileZilla are required.
