Description
This is a skilled carpentry position involving woodworking and general construction requirements.
Examples of Duties
- Constructs and remodels kitchens, bathrooms, remodel of existing structures, adds additions to existing structures and general construction practices.
- Records time and material usage on various projects.
- Preforms work as required and as directed and takes directions well.
- Build scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
- Cut timber and lumber to specified dimensions.
- Hold timbers, lumber, and paneling in place for fastening or cutting.
- Assist in the layout of foundation, building lines and anchor bolts.
- Install siding, exterior trim, interior and exterior doors and windows.
- Unload materials from trucks.
- Assist with slabs and elevated structures.
- Frame wood.
- Establish reference points and lines.
- Smooth and sand surfaces using power sanders.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience construction background including state and federal construction requirements;
- Must have work truck or vehicle;
- Must have Valid Drivers License and insurance;
- Must have basic tools;
- Must have experience with hand tools and power tools;
- Ability to adhere to tight schedules and still maintain work quality;
- Non-smoker, No earing’s, no long hair (Do to safety regulations on job-site);
Desirable Experience AND Training
Graduation from an accredited high school or vocational school. Experience as a Carpenters Helper or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in this work; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which, provides the required knowledge, abilities and skills may be considered.

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
