FORKLIFT DRIVER Job at Murphy Company
Murphy Company is currently looking for a Forklift Driver in our Eugene, Oregon hardwood plywood plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities –
- Must be able to read and execute the loading of trucks and cars using the sales orders, pick lists and car diagrams.
- Complete forklift check sheet and required maintenance of the jitney.
- Move stock in a timely manner to ensure high production levels while loading, unloading or staging product.
- Effectively communicate and assist other drivers as needed.
- Effectively communicate schedule and stock issues with counterparts on other shifts.
- Properly stack and organize units. Correct issues as needed.
- Communicate issues with Supervisor immediately.
- Keep up with the current flow of production. It is imperative to the warehouse schedule for material to be moving in a timely manner.
- Clean work area – sweep and remove debris
- Adhere to all plant safety and environment guidelines, policies and procedures, including LOTO procedures
Other Duties and Responsibilities –
- Keep work area free of trip hazards and clutter
- Other duties as required
Safety –Support a safe work environment by performing duties in accordance with acceptable, safe work procedures. This includes but is not limited to: reporting all incidents and accidents to your immediate supervisor within 24 hours; maintaining work area in a safe and healthful condition; reporting, and whenever possible correcting, unsafe working conditions; operating vehicles while in the course of employment in a safe and lawful manner; and providing assistance to reduce or eliminate workplace hazards.
