Under general supervision, this position is responsible for serving food using proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the cafeteria. Operates the cash register.
DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILTIES:
- Provides customer service according to department standards.
- Adequately supplies areas and maintains supplies throughout shift.
- Prepares and serves food according to menu. Ensures proper temperature of food and correctly uses utensils and garnishments.
- Cleans work area according to guidelines.
- Accurately prepares menu board.
- Closes cafeteria according to department procedures.
- Operates cash register, calculates charges, gives correct change and receipt as needed.
- Completes documentation for cash register.
- May act as banquet wait staff in executive lunchroom.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Additional Functions Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires a High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a basic familiarity with kitchen and food handling processes and procedures. Must be customer focused and possess:
- A valid Food Handlers Certificate;
- Skills to maintain the flow of work;
- Interpersonal and written communication skills to interface with all levels of employees and to accurately prepare menu boards and prepare cash register documentation;
- Ability to follow processes and procedures; and
- Basic mathematical skills to operate the cash register. The ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
