Food Service Worker Job at Ayer Shirley Regional School District
Under the daily supervision of the Kitchen Manager, prepare and serve food. Includes safe food preparation and handling and cleaning equipment and facilities, assisting with record keeping, cashiering and positive customer service. This position is for 30 hours per week.Responsibilities Include: Performs efficiently and safely the duties required to prepare and serve food, cleaning all areas of the kitchen, and other assigned duties, including but not limited to cleaning tables and stocking delivered goods.Maintains positive/cooperative relationships with students, staff, parents, vendors and others.Attends training meetings as required.Follows all policies of the Food Service Department and instructions of the kitchen manager relating to safety measures, sanitation practices, personnel standards, cash handling, work techniques and methods of performing duties.May be responsible for closing out cash register and compiling/balancing daily meal counts and revenue; also preparing bank deposit and bringing deposit to bank on same business day.Washes dishes, trays, flatware, pots, etc.Unpacks supplies and assists with stocking/organizing storage area, refrigerator and freezer.Operates equipment properly; maintaining safety standards at all times.
