SALARY RANGE: $75,000 to $125,000, based upon experience, plus full benefits (health insurance, 401k, PTO, gym membership, etc).

THE HIRING COMPANY & POSITION: Intrinsic Development is looking to hire a Food & Beverage Director to oversee a collection of new restaurant concepts opening in a new development in Lee's Summit. Discovery Park Lee's Summit is a 260+ acre mixed-use development consisting of approximately 2,900 luxury multi-family units along with over 660,000 sf of retail, office, entertainment and hospitality space and other related commercial uses.

FOOD & BEVERAGE DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee F&B efforts for our entire Lee's Summit Discovery restaurant portfolio
• Assist with concept development initiatives during construction phase of new restaurants including; menu planning, equipment/kitchen needs, staffing plan, etc.
• Monitor and implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs to ensure efficient operation and that expenditures stay within budget limitations, including achieving budgeted revenue and labor expenses.
• Establish, direct and review performance standards in food preparation, purchasing and production to ensure effective, controlled and coordinated efforts are achieved.
• Monitor and, when necessary, develop and implement schedules for the operation of all restaurants and bars to achieve a profitable result.
• Work with Kitchen Managers to design menu items to attract a predetermined customer market.
• Assist the departmental managers in establishing and achieving predetermined profit objectives and desired standards of quality food, service, cleanliness and promotions.
• Maintain awareness of food & beverage trends and cultivate creativity among food and beverage team members.
• Regularly review and evaluate the degree of customer satisfaction of the individual outlets and investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints.
• Coach or step in as Department Manager as needed to support restaurant success

FOOD & BEVERAGE DIRECTOR REQUIREMENTS:

• REQUIRED; 6+ years of upscale food service and multi-unit concept management.
• REQUIRED; Enthusiastic, energetic, persuasive, competitive, and outgoing personality.
• PREFERRED; Previous culinary/chef experience
• PREFERRED; BS degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or related field
• Extensive food and beverage knowledge
• Familiarity with restaurant management software
• Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
• Acute financial management skills
