FLOOR TECHNICIAN

We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a FLOOR TECHNICIAN throughout the northern areas of California. Candidate for this position should be detail-oriented, flexible and has reliable transportation. A Floor Technician is responsible for auto scrubbing, buffing, cleaning carpeted and non-carpeted areas using appropriate equipment and chemicals. Work environment is Commercial Buildings from office to retails. A FLOOR TECHNICIAN must upkeep a clean and a safe work environment while maintaining and operation all machinery.
Requirements and Qualifications
· Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (2 forms of government-issued ID required)

· At least 18 years of age or older

· Reliable transportation.

· 1 year of Floor Technician experience preferred

· Ability to lift 50 Lbs.

· Knowledge of healthcare equipment and cleaning chemicals is preferred.

· Must have a strong sense of work quality and be capable of working in different environments.

· Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures

· Able to prioritize and complete assigned tasks.

· All vaccinations must be up to date

· Clear Background required & medical prescreening

· A valid driver's license
Job Duties, Responsibilities, Functions and Expectations

• Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work
• Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated
• Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
• Keep buildings secured by locking doors
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
• Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, polishes floors and vacuums hallways, stairs, and office space
• Will be required to use cleaning chemicals properly and safely per manufacturer standards
• Vacuuming, Mopping, Bonneting, Extraction (wet/dry), Strip & wax floor, Carpet spot removal
• Transport equipment, tools, and supplies
• Move furniture before/after clean
• The position will include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, a lot of walking and lifting up to 40 pounds

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and pay attention to details
• Ability to meet physical demands of loading and unloading.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions in English. Adequate/reasonable oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work with other people in courteous manner.
• Knowledge of basic chemical mixing procedures.
• Skill in operation of basic cleaning equipment
• Experience as a janitor, custodian, housekeeper, or environmental services technician is a plus.

Education:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
