The Merrimack, NH Fire & Rescue Department is seeking applicants for current and future openings. These are full-time positions assigned to a shift. (24 hours on - 72 hours off)

Minimum qualifications include HS graduate (AS Degree in related field preferred), Certified FF II (applicants with FFI will be considered, and if hired, will be required to obtain Firefighter II prior to 1 year of hire), Haz. Mat. Operations, valid Driver"s License, and minimum EMT certification through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. Applicants with certification for ALS and those with Firefighter II will be given preference.

Base hourly wage: Firefighter EMT & Advanced - $22.23/hr., Paramedic - $24.09/hr. Educational incentives and stipends effective after probation completion.
Family health, life, and short-term disability insurance premiums are currently 100% employer paid. Dental insurance premiums are 90% employer paid. In addition, the Town offers paid vacation, sick, personal and professional leave, tuition reimbursement, and participation in the New Hampshire Retirement System.

Candidates must be on the current NH Firefighter Eligibility List with CPAT, as established by the NH Fire Standards and Training Commission, be a current employee of the Merrimack Call Division, or currently employed as a full-time firefighter in the State of New Hampshire (lateral transfer).
