Fire Alarm Install Technician Trainee Job at Silco Fire & Security
Job Description
Qualified candidates will train to install, inspect, trouble shoot and program fire alarm systems. It is preferred the applicant has electrical/fire alarm background but not necessary.
Paid Training is provided for a period of 6 to 12 months.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Technical and mechanical knowledge, aptitude, and interest
- Successfully passing state certification exams in expected time frames
- A desire to learn and master new fire systems
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
- High school diploma or GED with 2 years mechanical or electrical experience or technical training
- Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report
- Ability to lift heavy items periodically
- Successfully passing a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Compensation
Compensation is based on experience. Silco has annual compensation raises and bonuses based on merit.
Base Salary- $38,000 to $45,000 while in training. Once training is complete and job title changes to Technician, monthly bonuses are available for meeting department requirements. Will discuss pay structure in interview.
