Finishing Operator - Wide Job at Sandy Alexander
Summary: Operate equipment required to perform and complete finishing requirements for large format, signage, and print projects in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures.
Job Description:
Operate assigned finishing equipment including, but is not limited to, trimming, laminating, cutting, framing and welding of printed materials.
Acquire the job ticket and review it for specifications or special instructions that may impact the operation or setting up of the machine or line of equipment.
Follow routine procedures in the setting-up and in the operation of the machine or line of equipment.
Maintain the required records with quantities or any other information that may be helpful or required.
Inspect products, deciding to accept or reject the products in order to maintain the quality level required.
Assist in training less skilled workers.
Perform daily, as well as periodic, maintenance on equipment.
Record job charges in data collection database.
Adhere to Sandy Alexander’s quality and environmental policies, procedures, goals, and objectives and comply with all safety and work rules when performing duties.
Complete and maintain all required checklists, paperwork, records, documents, etc. and maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
- Organizational and mathematical skills.
- Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to push/pull loaded pallet jacks and/or rolling carts.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds on occasion.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
