Basic Function

Handles complex, non-routine financial or banking projects. Develops basic criteria for financial procedures and methods of analysis. Assists other departments in applying company financial policies; analyzes financial problems and develops solutions. Develops and interprets data used in highly technical and confidential analyses. May provide work direction to small groups of professional Financial Analysts.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Pension trust support, corporate cash management, financial analysis and/or risk management
  • Occasionally provides work direction to small groups of professional Financial Analysts
  • Provides professional and technical expertise for the analysis and solution of complex problems within Treasurer's areas of responsibility
  • Reviews current Treasurer's procedures and identifies potential problems
  • Keeps abreast of and analyzes international economic data; identifies trends which may affect the Company
  • Assist with formulation and implementation of Treasurer's policies and procedures to prevent or resolve problems; follows up implemented changes to ensure resolution or mitigation
  • Develops short and intermediate term cash forecasts for corporate and/or trust requirements
  • Conducts periodic evaluations of the Company's bank accounts, and relationships
  • Directs the temporary investment of surplus funds, and the portfolio management activities of the Financial Analyst III and IV to assure adequate portfolio composition, liquidity, and rate of return
  • Business plan modeling and forecasting for projects and initiatives, developing financing deals as appropriate and providing analysis of joint venture and existing partnerships
  • Successfully completes assigned projects on time with minimal supervision
  • Keeps in good communication with corporate finance partners, sharing knowledge and seeking advice when necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics; Master’s degree, CFA, or CPA highly desirable.
  • Seven (7) years experience in multinational business or international finance; strong background in related areas such as financial management and analysis, investments, or banking and foreign exchange
  • Must be able to communicate and comprehend accurately, clearly and concisely in English at a level required to perform the job as outlined
  • Professional experience with computerized financial systems desirable; must possess good work habits, a strong work ethic, and be able to adhere to company work hours, policies, and standard business etiquette
  • Excellent analytical and technical financial skills
  • Well-developed judgment, a source of expertise and advice to others
  • Developed IT skills (Microsoft Office skills to a medium/advanced level, particularly Excel)
  • Demonstrable commercial awareness and judgment
