• Accounts for, records and reports all personnel time worked.
• Performs hands-on, billable work when necessary.
• Preforms quality checks on service technician jobs.
• Performs machine audits.
• Liaison between LUS technicians and customer/mine site supervisors
• Assists with the planning of the yearly budget.
• Organizes activity of outside vendors used.
• Analyzes outside quotes for service(s) rendered.
• Plans and presents safety meetings.
• Manages maintenance of service, vehicles/equipment.
• Reviews, records and reports all component failures and warranty issues.
• Handles customer request and requirements.
• Manages the sale of service center labor.
• Works with LME Engineering and Product Support on product development and maintenance.
• Coordinates training for LUS Service Technicians and mine personnel.
• Works with government agencies as needed.
• Ensures safe work environment for all employees.
• Coordinates with Project Manager for resource needs.
• Monthly review of utilization/absorption report with the Project Manager and Divisional leadership.

• A combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma; Technical School.
• Certificate and five years of management experience.
• Directly supervises up to 35 employees.
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of Field Environment team.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Knowledge of BAAN or equivalent ERP, MS Office Access, Excel, Word; and Internet software.
• Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance systems.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to maintain Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) certification.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
• Perform job functions from mine site a minimum of 4 days per week.
