Location: Wright-Way Rescue Admissions & Medical Services Campus, Murphysboro, IL.

Position Summary:

Wright-Way Rescue drives over 2,000 miles each week to rescue homeless pets! If you enjoy meeting new people while rescuing animals, are detail oriented, can use simple spreadsheets, have a flexible schedule, and are comfortable driving a large Promaster Van & Shuttle Bus (CDL preferred, but not required), this job is a great way to be a part of our dynamic Admissions Team and help save thousands of lives.

At this time, Wright-Way drives to several states to meet our rescue partners, and we drive weekly to our Adoption Center in Chicago with pets that are ready to find their forever homes. Our Rescue Runs to other states average about 12 hours round trip, and our Transports to our Adoption Center are done relay style and average 7 hours round trip.

All Field Representatives must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, experience driving large vehicles, and be 25 years or older.

Responsibilities:

• Be a positive representation of Wright-Way when interacting with all rescue partners, other members of the public, and Wright-Way staff
• Actively advocate for Wright-Way Rescue’s mission when interacting with our rescue partners

• Take quality photos of each Rescue Run to be used on our Facebook pages

• Conscientious handling all animals to prevent the spread of disease

• Clean and maintain our inventory of transport crates

• Inspect and clean transport vehicles.

• Reliably fill out vehicle logs

• Maintain and replenish Admissions supplies

• Proactively communicate with the Admissions Director, other administrators, and Wright-Way’s Intake Team

• Conduct simple medical tests when warranted

• Administer vaccinations when warranted
