Field Logistics Associate (Decontamination) Job at Smith & Nephew
SUMMARY
The Field Logistics Associate (Decon) is responsible for the proper receipt of all Loaner & Convention Services assets upon return to Commercial Share Services. They are responsible for the segregating and prepping these assets before they are inspected and shipped out to support cases. The Field Logistics Associate must maintain accurate records of when assets arrive, are processed and if the assets are incomplete, they must communicate with our customers to retrieve the remaining assets. They will also need to be flexible and willing to work in other areas outside of their primary function. Versatility and organization is a must to maintain accurate records for audit purposes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Inventory Control
- Processes Loaner & Convention Services assets returns
- Ensure all assets are accounted for during returns process
- Provide data of incomplete inventory returns to manager for monthly metrics
Inventory Management
- Assists the Loaner Services Manager with reducing inventory.
- Focuses on communicating data to Field Offices to recover incomplete assets
Monitor Operations
- Maintain records of wash cycles and asset log
- Follows-up with customers to recovery missing/lost assets
Assist Office Personnel
- Assists with other department functions as necessary or as assigned by management
- Ensure favorable relationships with other Shared Services & the sales force are maintained by providing responsive and reliable service for requests necessary to support the business.
Travel- 5%
Education - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience with emphasis in Logistics Management or Operations Management.
Competencies - Position requires self-reliance and confidence for broad empowerment as directed by the Manager
Other- Window Office Suite required-Windows, Word, Excel, Internet Explore and Email. Access (or other relational database) is a plus. Experience in a production planning, inventory management or customer service system is required
