Job Summary:

To provide superior levels of service and technical support to new and existing C.R. Onsrud CNC Machine Customers. Must have a good working knowledge of electrical principles. Should have the ability to troubleshoot, repair or replace circuits and components.

Duties and Essential Job Functions:

  • This role requires up to 75% travel. All training conducted at the Troutman home office.
  • Provide Sales Engineering support by preparing demonstrations for customers; participating in trade shows; conducting time studies and maintaining strong communications with engineering and support staff.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Machine Application Engineering with the ability to build, install, repair, service and troubleshoot machines. Train customers onsite and in-house.
  • Be able to replace, realign, repair and remove parts. Provide phone support by remotely diagnosing machine/software problems; provide in-call problem solving and resolution; record notes and update knowledge database. Pursue up-sell opportunities and superior customer service.
  • Administrative reporting of expenses; maintaining service, technical and installation checklist; weekly technical meeting and on-going/continuous training.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • CNC Router mechanical and functionality knowledge.
  • Controls knowledge (FANUC, B&R, OSAI, etc.)
  • CAD/CAM software troubleshooting skills.
  • High level of mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of electrical, mechanical or closely related experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Five years of electrical and/or mechanical experience.
  • Two-year degree in Electrical, Mechanical or closely related.
  • Electrical or Mechanical certifications a plus.
