Farm Manager Job at The Ranch- Hudson Valley
The Farm Manager is responsible for leading a team of gardeners to produce organic fruits and vegetables for our head chef. Regular tasks will include, cultivating, harvesting, tree pruning, pest management, hosting farm-to-table lunches, giving garden tours, scheduling garden staff, coordinating with the chef, caring for small livestock, ordering supplies, planning the crop rotation and maintaining an organic certification for the garden.
The best individual for the Farm Manager position will have a certificate in Permaculture Design, an intimate knowledge of local vegetable and fruit tree species, and at least 5 years of organic farming experience. A clean, professional, and organized appearance is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
