Radians is hiring for a Facility Maintenance Technician. In this role your duties will require maintenance/repair for entire facility and related equipment as well as performing preventative maintenance on all machinery. Duties may also involve repairing mechanical equipment and sewing machines, installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment. Sewing machine repair experience is not required and will train.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, including sewing machines
• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
• Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklist for building maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
• Ability to create and action a Preventative Maintenance program

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 2 years or more experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Some PC experience and strong interpersonal skills is a PLUS.

• Ability to use time wisely and perform several tasks from warehousing to maintenance by prioritizing tasks
• Assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand
• Inspect machinery or equipment to determine adjustments or repairs needed
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems; effectively communicate with supervisors, peers, etc.
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed; Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it
• Considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
