JOB TITLE: Facilities Assistant

REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager

JOB TYPE: Full-Time Hourly, Exempt

DESCRIPTION: The Facilities Assistant is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the Riverside Theatre facilities, grounds and equipment for readiness to receive patrons and employees.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Prior general maintenance/handyman experience, with light plumbing & electrical

• Sound knowledge of cleaning procedures and chemicals

• Qualified to operate lawn and landscape type equipment

• Familiar with general safety principles

• Must be available to work days, some nights & weekends

• Maintain positive attitude and professional demeanor

• Honest, reliable, self-reliant

• Team player, with the ability to work independently

• Some heavy lifting required

• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Uphold the core values of Riverside Theatre

• Grounds and facilities maintenance and cleanup

• Perform routine equipment maintenance

• Custodial responsibilities – Sweep and mop floors, trash removal, clean & sanitize bathrooms

• Events assembly and dismantle

• Bus Tables at Events

• Pressure washing

• Painting

• Furniture Assembly

• Light Plumbing & Electrical

• Assist Facilities Manager with special projects

• Stock and track inventory of disposable maintenance supplies for reorders

• Assist with production tasks, renovation and construction projects as required

• Look for and be aware of any conditions that may affect public and employee safety and Report all safety concerns, equipment or structural, to Facilities Manager

• Run errands on occasion

• Ensure buildings are secure during non-business hours

• Attend meetings as required

• Adhere to performance and event timelines
