Experienced Dental Hygienist Job at Sweet Smiles Family Dentistry
We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices. The position is for part time with the opportunity to add more days as needed. We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate for busy lives.
As a Dental Hygienist, you should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. If you have a gentle touch and great bedside manner, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible during their hygiene visit
- Sterilize dental instruments properly
- Conduct periodontal charting
- Take radiographs
- Identify conditions like gingivitis and periodontitis
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patients
Skills
- Proven experience as Dental Hygienist
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
- Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
- Outstanding communication skills
- A patient and friendly personality
- Attention to detail
- Certification in Dental Hygiene
- Valid license to practice and administer anesthetic
- Laser certification is a plus
Compensation is based on experience and demonstration of proficiency when treating patients. Knowledge of restorative dentistry and orthodontics to assist patients in understanding their oral health are key factors that can boost compensation.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
