The Executive Director, Imaging Systems is responsible for the daily planning, organizing, and implementing of the policies, procedures/workflow, and services of the EIS Enterprise Imaging enterprise-wide solutions, including but not limited to Radiology, Cardiology, Radiation Oncology, Neurology, and Gastroenterology, in order to meet the needs of patients, customers, and in support of the Cedars-Sinai Health System. The incumbent assumes fiscal responsibility through the preparation of budgets, serves as a liaison with the Hospital Operations, medical staff, and other personnel; promotes the maximum growth and development of each employee, supports research, participates in strategic planning and both long/short-term planning.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishes relationships, sets expectations and conducts communication with clinical department management at the supervisor, manager, and director levels, as well as with physician leadership
  • Oversees all clinical content design, standardization, and maintenance work including adherence to electronic form standards, design of medical specialty content, optimal design for clinician usage, and incorporation of approved third-party clinical content
  • Provides subject matter expertise on Enterprise Imaging systems to the organization, collaborating with physician and operations leadership to assist in overseeing issue resolution and escalate and resolve issues as appropriate
  • Leads cross-functional teams during large-scale, complex system implementation activities; provides direction and oversight to team leads and staff members
  • Establishes detailed project plans, manages work and deliverables completion; establishes, obtains approval of, and manages to defined scope for the project
  • Manages the technology, application/system maintenance, and user support activities; leads evaluation, analysis, and recommendation of new application and technology solutions as applicable
  • Provides direction and input into the organization’s application maintenance and management strategies
  • Collaborates and coordinates work efforts with other managers and staff within EIS in the delivery of projects
  • Manages vendor relations and service delivery; manages contracts and invoicing
  • Develops and manage budgets
  • Provides reporting to senior EIS and operational leadership on project progress and issues
  • Leads staff recruiting, hiring, and human resources management for the team, in collaboration with the Director; determines team’s development and training needs; conducts performance appraisals, goal-setting, and mentoring; manages the professional growth and well-being of team members

Bachelor's Degree (preferred) - Information Technology or related field

A minimum of 10 years' experience in the delivery of information technology services, with a focus on Strategy, Service Delivery, and Relationship Management

Five years of increasingly responsible management experience, preferably in a large medical center environment, with a focus on either clinical, revenue, or shared services/mobile systems.
