Executive Director Job at Christian Camps and Conferences, Inc.

Christian Camps and Conferences, Inc. Alton, NH 03809

ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

Christian Camps and Conferences, Inc. (CCCI) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to foster vibrant Christian communities in awe-inspiring outdoor settings where young people are spiritually transformed through Christ-centered relationships. Its camps in New Hampshire are Brookwoods for Boys founded in 1944 and Deer Run for Girls added in 1964. In 1999, Moose River Outpost near Jackman, Maine was added as an outdoor wilderness co-ed camp on 7,000 acres, with its own unique environment and programming. In addition to the camping ministry, CCCI operates two conference centers during the off-season, one on the New Hampshire campus and the other on the Maine property.

Each summer approximately 1200 campers enjoy two-week or four-week extended sessions, and 50 are enrolled in a multi-season Leadership Development Program which has traditionally provided a nucleus of future summer staffing.

Today, the CCCI camps have a long and storied history that spans multiple generations of camper families. Over the years, there has been a well cultivated and dedicated alumni base which has been passionately committed to the mission and remain deeply invested in the future success of the ministry enterprise.

Integrally woven into camp and the culture of CCCI has been the development and operation of a unique camper-centered environment which serves as a safety net for kids to be challenged through outdoor adventure, with the freedom to fail, learn and grow. Through the years, each camp has utilized the stunning wilderness environment for campers to celebrate God’s creation through understanding it, adventuring in it, and learning outdoor skills to be good stewards of it.

Leaders and staffers committed to Christ, well-trained and able to teach, have been instrumental in developing campers’ deepening understanding and commitment to Jesus Christ. Long-term traditions and mainstay programming are designed to impact the whole person’s spiritual, emotional, social, and physical development. The culture of each camp is characterized by stable, consistent, long-term, Christ-like service and lifetime God-centered relationships. These both model and foster relationships that produce hospitality, compassion, accountability, and trust.

Further, there is a strong sense of integrity and trickle-down transparency among caring tightknit staff, counselors, and campers. Finally, CCCI has an irrefutable reputation for having best-in-class facilities and is second to none concerning excellence in camping.
