Summit Hospitality Group, Ltd - The Asbury Restaurant/The Dunhill Hotel - The Residence Inn Charlotte Uptown Charlotte, NC 28202

Directs and supervises food service for the entire hotel, including Restaurant, Bar Room Service and Catering Functions. Ensures the highest quality level and consistency as it relates to service and food presentation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

*Assists Sales Team, Restaurant Supervisors and Service Staff with banquets, social parties, special events and meal service.

*Monitors expenses to keep within budgeted guidelines and assists the hotels Area General Manager in developing and implementing an annual operational budget.

*Schedule team members at proper business and staffing levels, watch labor cost daily to ensure efficiency in scheduling and minimizing overtime wages.

*Requisitions for food service equipment, giving specifications, quantities and quality descriptions.

*Responsible for monthly inventory verification and maintains adequate supplies.

*Ensures each meal period is properly prepared to ensure menu product available to expedite the service experience. (ie, items must be available, desserts, milk, other menu products, etc…)

*Provides a professional image at all times through appearance, dress and grooming.

*Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to culinary staff.

*Works and puts forth effort to accomplish vision and mission with others.

*Adds to job skills, education and work experience to self and others.

*Performs job in an honest, forthright manner, treating others fairly, consistently and with respect.

*Possesses the personal desire to be the best.

*Conducts monthly departmental meetings, daily pre-shift meetings regarding departmental procedures, safety, cleanliness, service guidelines, etc….

*Ensures Kitchen and Storerooms clean and sanitary and is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage Hour and Health Laws.

*Oversees and approves all liquor purchases and inventories.

*Maintains all food and liquor costs within established budget guidelines.

*Ensure Kitchen is Serv Safe Trained and Certified

*Conducts interviews for the hiring of servers, hosts, and bar staff.

*Other duties as assigned by Management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
