The Commit Partnership seeks a hard-working team player to serve as the Executive Administrative Assistant to Commit’s Executive Team, directly supporting C-suite staff and other executive leadership personnel. This key position will support the Executive & Sr. Leadership Team in its day-to-day management of the organization, making an important contribution to Commit’s goal of ensuring that all North Texas students receive an excellent and equitable education. 20% of time will also be allocated to the shared support of the Operations department.

Responsibilities: The position will encompass the following responsibilities:

  • Organization and Scheduling
    • Manage the calendars of C-Suite and other Sr. Leadership with a high level of responsiveness, communication, and attention to detail
    • As needed, arrange travel and accommodation for C-Suite and other Sr. Leadership, as well as coordinate travel and accommodation as needed among the assistants of other Executive Team members
    • Schedule appointments, meetings, retreats, and other convenings for the Executive and Leadership Teams; help maintain a master calendar
    • Support planning and execution of Executive and Leadership Team meetings, e.g., securing meeting locations, preparing printed materials, and organizing catering
    • Support maintenance of a filing system for key electronic documents
    • As needed, support hiring of any new team members that report C-Suite and other Sr. Leadership. Ensure compliance with Commit organizational policies and procedures
  • Communication
    • Answer and direct phone calls and emails
    • Take meeting notes as requested
    • Write and distribute email and her correspondence as requested
    • Support the preparation of presentations and materials for meetings
    • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
    • Provide general support to visitors
    • Proficiency with setting up and facilitating virtual meeting spaces.
  • Special Projects
    • Support other functions and/or projects as assigned
    • Project Management experience preferred

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Comfort in a face-paced environment with multiple tasks and projects at hand
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be personable yet persuasive in both oral and written communication
  • Ability to interact effectively at multiple levels within organizations, especially organizations serving culturally and economically diverse communities
  • Reliability in exercising discretion and maintaining confidential information
  • Technology proficient and very trainable; should enter Commit with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience in online document collaboration tools and/or CRM systems desirable
  • Ability to operate with humility, an open mind, and a sense of urgency
  • Belief in the power of education and equity to improve the odds for all children in service of The Commit Partnership’s mission
