Reporting to the Events + Venues Supervisor, the Events + Venues Program Manager will serve as an expert liaison between Client Consulting + Services teams, internal GMR teams, and Events + Venues department to coordinate event logistics.


WHAT YOU'LL DO //

  • Develop contract/addendum templates, promotional sell sheets, program progress spreadsheets, and other program specific documents.
  • Update the team shared files and EMS database in real time during the life of the program.
  • Contract and process payments for footprint space at events, venues, high traffic locations and more.
  • Offer and book value-added inclusions and other services.
  • Gather, compile, and analyze event and venue research utilizing internal and external resources.
  • Manage agency relationships with outside venues, events, city offices, universities, promoters and more.
  • Consult with Client Consulting + Services Teams, internal GMR teams, and clients during program development and provide ongoing program management.
  • Develop, prioritize, and recommend event and venue options to present to Client Consulting + Services teams and clients.
  • Present all event details including contracts, detail sheets, site maps, permits, certificates of insurances, proof of payment, etc. to Client Consulting + Services Teams in an organized and timely fashion.
  • Assure that timely ongoing, complete, and accurate records of communications and research are captured in the GMR Event Management System.
  • Analyze recap information from completed GMR activations and programs to maximize future success and recommendations.
  • Effectively manage service and site fee budgets for each assigned program to ensure proper team time utilization and profitability.
  • Assist in development and presentation of Events + Venues related material to Client Consulting + Services Teams, clients, and internal GMR teams, as needed.
  • Actively review event confirmations, agreements, permit applications, etc. prior to approvals, working in accordance with the GMR Legal Department and management.
  • Make payments including Purchase Orders through GMR’s payment system OnBase.
  • Assist as needed with E+V tasks including hospitality requests.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills that promote a supportive “team” environment. and show passion for GMR clients and their business.
  • Lead and/or participate in meetings with confidence, positivity, professionalism, and appropriate etiquette.
  • Identify program or business-related issues that need to be escalated to Supervisor and/or Vice President.
  • Resolve issues confidently and quickly with moderate assistance from Supervisor and/or Vice President.
  • Assist other CC+S teams as needed.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR //

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Business Administration, Marketing preferred and/or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a related position (Advertising/Marketing agency, Events/Venues management, Special Event coordination)
  • Positive, outgoing, approachable, excellent phone, virtual and in person meeting skills and business etiquette.
  • Responsible to manage and meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Confidence, strong work ethic, and ability to multitask.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility.
  • Ability to think outside the box and provide flexible solutions for Client Consulting and Service Teams, internal GMR teams, and clients.
  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Extensive and current knowledge of events and venues throughout the United States.
