The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas is currently seeking an ESports Coordinator who will, under the supervision of the Sports Director, provide support remotely and in person as assigned in order to ensure the effective administration of esports programs at the Dallas YMCA. Esports is video game competition for individuals and teams. Gamers in the Y's leagues and tournaments will enjoy game play in Rocket League, Madden, Smash, Fortnite, Pokemon, NBA2K, and FIFA. As with all YMCA leagues, YMCA eSports will encourage and promote healthy kids, families and communities by placing a priority on involvement, healthy competition rather than rivalry, the value of participation over winning, team-building as well as individual development, a positive self-image and mutual respect for others.

The Coordinator will assist the Sports Director as assigned in the following ways: Plan, organize, promote, implement, and evaluate esports programs. Recruit, train, supervise, evaluate and recognize part-time staff and program volunteers within accordance of policies set by the Association. Oversee, generate, and maintain complete tournament/league design documentation. Maintain actively running tournaments and competitions. Create, maintain, and oversee competitive rules set for all league and tournaments. Complete reports on competition progress and completion to the executive team and other departments. Manage match and player dispute pipeline. Be a lead contact replying to emails and calls. Maintain a fun and healthy competitive experience for all participants. Research and develop new competitive experiences in the esports arena. Be an active and vocal figurehead in our various communities assisting in coordination of live broadcasts or matches. Teach curriculum. Obtain ESports Certification within 60 days.

This person will work approximately 10-15 hours per week.

• The ESports Coordinator should have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and a cordial manner.
• Must have access to consistent strong WiFi to work remotely.
• Must be able to work with members, program participants, volunteers, staff and vendors.
• Ability to teach curriculum and facilitate lesson plans.
• Candidates should have experience and knowledge in the gaming industry.
• Must have a solid understanding of the management of equipment, tournaments, and esports programs.
• Currently hold or obtain all trainings and certifications required by YMCA guidelines for this position.
• Current driver's license with acceptable record and vehicle liability insurance.
• High school diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
• Proficient in online gaming platforms and discord.
• In addition to knowledge of different games candidate must have knowledge of twitch or other streaming platforms.
