Job Description
Provides supportive care to the Emergency Department patients under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse or physician.
Qualifications & Skills
High School graduate or equivalent required with 1-year experience in acute hospital or ambulance setting and EMT certification preferred. Current BLS certification required with knowledge of medical terminology. Basic Arrhythmia (Telemetry) certification required within 90-days of hire. Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written. Must have good interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with patients, staff, general public and governmental agency reps. Basic computer skills required.
